Answered Prayer #3204
I wanted a son, but I had been told it wasn’t possible for me to carry another child as I had a slipped disc in my back, I was in constant pain and I couldn’t even carry a carrier bag. The back specialist had said that the only hope was that in 25 years the disc may shrivel and die and not continue to sit on the nerve and cause me the constant pain I was in. I thought ’25 years’; I would be over 60, so really I had no hope at all! This moment I can remember, as if it was yesterday, I was in my bedroom, reading my bible. As I read this line: “Mary, you will be with child and give birth to a son and you are to give him the name Jesus” (Luke 1 v 31). I remember God speaking to me and He said “you will give birth to a son and He told me His name”. That moment, it was as if I was standing amazed and remember speaking aloud to God and said “What about my back” and the reply came immediately. God said “Trust me with your back”. It was as if time stopped for a moment and I remember replying saying, “I will”. Like Mary, I expected a miracle, but I had no idea how it would happen! Not long after, I went to a church in Leicester; part way through, the speaker said that he had a new disc for someone and I just knew it was for me! I stood up and said “it is for me”, I knew God was giving me a new disc for my back. He said “I want you to pull it down from heaven”. I did! I remember pulling this disc down, I couldn’t physically see it, but I knew I had received it. The following week I was at a regular meeting with my back specialist and he was comparing two scans, one from some time ago and other being the most recent. He kept shaking his head saying “I can’t fathom it, I can’t fathom it”. I said “What’s the matter?” He replied “Look at this”! He showed me the oldest scan, which showed the disc out of place and then he showed me the newest scan, with a disc, perfectly in its place! He said “In 30 years of practice, I have never seen anything like this” and said “It is not physically possible”, but I knew the truth that nothing is impossible for God.
