Answered Prayer #1648
I visited Congo where I was born, and as a result decided to rebuild a Bible College there (long story). At many times during the build the money ran out. One time the situation became critical for lack of money and I was very stressed. I asked God one weekend to prove He was with me in this project by there being an envelope through my door by the end of the weekend with a substantial amount of money in (I was thinking £1,000 to £5,000). I was away for the weekend and when I returned there was an envelope for £20,000! The couple who sent the cheque had heard me speak about the project a year earlier. The wife had felt God tell her to sell her house, downsize and give the difference to the project. She said yes to the Lord but to please tell her husband. When she arrived back from the journey where God spoke, her husband met her with the news that God had spoken to him and it was exactly the same words. It took them a year to sell the house and relocate and exactly the weekend I was at the end of my tether the cheque arrived. Since then I have never stressed about the project and the build is now complete and the building opened.
