Answered Prayer #12242
In 2010, my husband and I were ministering three Saturday’s a month at a men’s prison. We had a strong desire to start a bible study course with them called Supernatural Ways of Royalty. It was a study book with an accompanying workbook. It was going to cost about $20 per person for the materials and these guys obviously didn’t have the money to purchase for themselves. I had been to several conferences at the church of the author of the book and wrote his ministry to inquire if they offered discounts, explaining the situation of the inmates at the prison. When they response came I was stunned. They asked how many we needed and where we would like them sent, free! I told them we needed 25 (we usually had between 18-23 men + my husband and I). It took a few weeks for the books to arrive and in the interim we gained a few more attendees but it wasn’t a problem because they could just take the ones my husband and I were going to use and we would purchase our own. The books arrived and the Saturday we were to take them I awoke hearing “in my Father’s house there is always enough”. I began to repeat that out loud all morning and thank Jesus for the reminder that He always provides. We arrived at the prison as normal and set up the boxes at the door to the meeting hall and assigned two of our attendees to give out one book and one workbook to each as they entered. We, and the guys assisting, prayed over the books that they would be a blessing to those who received them and I closed the prayer with what I’d heard that morning: in my Father’s house there is always enough”. A little while later one of the guys came to me saying there were only a few books left and more men waiting to come in than we had books to give out. All I could say is “in my Father’s house there is always enough!”; he went back over to the door and by that time the other guy was handing the last book to the last one entering the room and everyone had a book and workbook. We had 30 men that day and I still had my set! In Jesus’ Father’s house there is ALWAYS enough! What a lesson for those men to see that they too are royal sons of a heavenly Father who owns everything and desires for them to know Him!
