Answered Prayer #12641
When I was 18, I went travelling for 4 months, flying from South America, across to Europe, into Asia, finishing my trip in Australia. I kept a journal for the majority of my trip and collected postcards, photos, momentos and got people I met to write in there as well as writing my own entries. I was devastated when I realised I had lost it somewhere in Asia and assumed I’d never see it again. I messaged a few hostels I had stayed in but heard nothing. A month or so later, I arrived home and asked my church to pray it might be found. God heard our prayers and after a few weeks of being home I got a message from a hostel (over 2 months after I had stayed there!) saying they thought they had found my journal and could they have my address to post it back to me. I will never know why God responds to some prayers so directly and not others, but I know that He hears them all and that He wants good things for us all the time. In this case He answered my prayer in an amazing way and I am so grateful to have all those memories back. God is good!
